How to play

1. Have the Steam client running and signed in — any Steam account works. Multiplayer runs over Steam's relay, so Steam must be up before you launch.
2. Unzip the download anywhere (keep all files together in the folder).
3. Run Sword.exe. Windows SmartScreen may warn because the beta build is unsigned — choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
4. Singleplayer fights the practice bot. Multiplayer opens the server browser — create a server or join a friend's. During the beta the lobby list is shared with other Steam test apps, so use the browser's Sword lobbies only.

What's in the beta

A deliberately lean slice: 1v1 duels (bot or online), two maps (plains + castle), male/female knights, rebindable controls. Directional combat: stroke the mouse up or down to aim attacks and blocks, hold to feint, kick to break turtles.

Feedback

Feedback steers what gets built before the Steam launch. In the Discord server, use the /feedback command (anywhere) or post in #feedback. Crashes, balance gripes, and "this felt bad" moments are all welcome — three reports per week per person are counted, so make them count.
